Obituary for Thomas Moore Williams
Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday September 15th at 11:00 a.m. in the Williams Chapel Cemetery with Reverend Keith Wilson officiating. Pallbearers will be Bryant Hallman, Kenneth Spivey, Carter Spivey, Joe Williams, Jr., Jim Sanders, and Corey Williams. Honorary pallbearers will be J.T. Honeycutt and J.L. Pearson. The family will receive friends on Wednesday at the graveside service.
Mr. Williams was born January 1, 1936, in Robertson County to the late X.R. and Birdie Honeycutt Williams. He was a retired farmer. Mr. Williams was a member of Williams Chapel Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon and former chairman of the deacons. He loved fishing, hunting, and football, especially the Tennessee Vols and Tennessee Titans. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Susie Pearson Williams, who died in May of 2021, by his son: Terry Williams, and by several siblings.

Kennith was born February 5, 1959, in Springfield. He was a truck driver and a member of the Baptist faith. Kennith was a jack of all trades and could do anything he wanted. He enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his family and his cats. He was preceded in death by his son: Ernest Wayne Jackson.

Rhonda was born March 22, 1958 in Nashville, TN to the late Harold Lloyd and Evelyn Francis Cantrell. She was a medical coder for the Insurance Industry. She loved the outdoors doing things such as fishing, camping, and swimming. She was a very good cook, enjoyed reading, and also visiting casinos. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Kenny Cantrell, Jamie Cantrell, and Buster Cantrell.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 3:00 PM in the Oakhurst Chapel of Robertson County Funeral Home with Pastor Lance Wamble officiating. Burial followed in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Cross Plains with Justin Johnson, Adam Schreiber, Tyler Sneed, Conner Sneed, Jeremiah Johnson, Tommy Logsdon, Josh Groves, and Brent Dorris serving as pallbearers. The family received friends at the funeral home Friday from 4 until 8 PM and Saturday from 12 noon until the hour of service.
Mrs. Jackie was born January 26, 1941 in Springfield to the late David McCoy and Alma Armstrong Benton. She was a homemaker and also ran a mail route for 35 years. She was a member of Orlinda Baptist Church and loved to take care of people and was a regular visitor to the nursing homes. She loved all her family, giving special attention to the grandchildren, and entertaining, having big meals in her home. She was well known for being an excellent cook. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Bobby Dean Sneed, who died in November of 2020, her half-sister, Evelyn Pitt, and her son-in-law, Bill Johnson.

Emily was born December 28, 1996, in Dayton, OH. She was a preschool teacher at South Haven School and was a member of South Haven Baptist Church. Emily was always a person that could make others smile. Spending time with her family was very important to her and she always looked forward to family time. The loves of Emily’s life were her husband Anthony, whom she married in 2018, and her daughter Isabelle who brought joy to her heart and a smile to her face every hour of each day. Emily was so looking forward to the birth of her and Anthony’s second child, their son, Alexander Paul Rodefer. She was 14 weeks into her pregnancy when Alexander was delivered stillborn on Monday September 6, 2021, at Vanderbilt Medical Center. Emily was preceded in death by her son: Alexander Paul Rodefer, by her twin sister: Andrea Houk, and by her grandmother: Vera Webber.

Obituary for Ronnie E Matthews Sr.
Ronnie is preceded in death by his parents, Hugh Clyde & Ada Matthews; brother, James W. Matthews. Ronnie was born and raised in Nashville. He moved to White House, TN in 1984. Ronnie had a diehard work ethic until his death. He started driving a truck at the young age of 15, with his brother James. He drove a truck his entire life, and he worked for Maxim Crane Service as a long haul crane deliverer. At his passing, Ronnie was a security guard at the Highland Rim racetrack for many years. He was a dedicated baseball coach for his son and both of his grandsons. He was a role model and teacher to many. Ronnie became a Master Mason in 2008, serving as a Tiler, Steward, Head of the Fundraising Committee, and Santa’s very own clown. Ronnie was a lot of things to many but he was mostly a loving husband, father and pawpaw. He was dedicated to being the Hero of his family. Any one that knew him knew he was always “The Life of the Party!”

He continued to drive a school bus and had said to his family “I might be the only smile some of those children ever see”. He truly loved the children and they loved him. He enjoyed vegetable gardening and gathering with his family, especially the grandchildren. He was a member of Sumner County Upper Cumberland Presbyterian Church and he loved the Lord with all his heart. Obituary for Paul Sumner Garrett
Mr. Garrett is survived by his two Sons Paul T. Garrett (Ocala, Florida) and Barry L. (Janet) Garrett (White House); Grandsons Joshua L. Garrett and Jason K. (Kelsie) Garrett, both of Springfield, Tennessee; Brothers Clifton and Willard Garrett (both of White House) and Sister Sue Ann Garrett Williams (Hendersonville, Tennessee).
Mr. Garrett was preceded in death by his wife Shirley Ann Albert Garrett; his parents Robert Elmer and Claudia Almedee (Allie) Hardaway Garrett; Brothers James (J.D.), Porter, Homer, Floyd, Clyde, Roger, and Ray Garrett; and Sister Ruth Garrett Bolton.
Mr. Garrett was born on March 29, 1929, on a family farm on Shell Road, in the New Hope community of Hendersonville. He attended New Hope School and Hendersonville High School, graduating in the Class of 1947.
In October of 1947, he went to work for the Nashville, Chattanooga, and St. Louis (N.C.&St.L.) Railroad in the Car Shops in Nashville. He spent the rest of his public working life at N.C.&St.L and at its successor railroads, L&N and CSX, in Nashville, rising to shop and wrecker foreman positions.
On February 28, 1948, he married Shirley Ann Albert, whom he had first met when he was seven. During their seventy-two years and ten days of marriage, they raised two sons and two grandsons. They loved traveling, going as far as Hawaii, Alaska, Europe, and Central and South America. He went to all fifty states but never lived more than fifteen miles from where he was born.
Mr. Garrett was a skilled craftsman at all the building trades, building his home and all of the other buildings on his farm. He loved his greenhouse and working the vegetable garden with his grandsons. Paul and Shirley loved western square dancing and were long-time members of the Springfield Squares dance club. Growing up the sixth of twelve children, he was a loving “Grand Pa” to his grandsons and his many nieces and nephews of several generations.

He was an avid Arkansas Razorbacks football fan, enjoyed playing golf, and loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Mr. Elliott was born July 29, 1946, in Springfield to the late William Odell and Rosetta Bugg Elliott. He was a retired woodworker and furniture builder, having owned and operated Elliott and W.D. Furniture. He was a member of Battle Creek Baptist Church. Mr. Elliott loved watching sports, especially the Tennessee Titans, the Tennessee Vol’s, NASCAR, and golf, watching Mountain Man and westerns on TV, listening to his grandson sing, and spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents: William Jerome and Maggie Lee Elliott, Rufus and Lula Bugg, by his siblings: Ray Dean Elliott and Brenda King, by his son-in-law: Ken Wix, and by his brother-in-law: Chuck McBride.

Mrs. Bracey was born on March 22, 1933 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late J.B. & Vera Mae Dryden Parsons. She was retired after 30 years with the Department of Transportation. She was very active at Good Springs Free Will Baptist Church, where she served in the women’s auxiliary, teaching Sunday school, and was a youth leader. Blanche was one of the oldest members of Good Springs Church with over 80 years. She was an avid collector of porcelain dolls and loved to go riding with her husband, Jimmy in their shiny red convertible.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a daughter, Elizabeth Karene Newman; brother, Rev. Julian “Jack” Parsons; sisters, Alice Eugenia Parsons, Lois Shores; and granddaughter, Judith Bracey.

A memorial service was held Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 12pm in the chapel of the Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield with Reverend Tim Miles officiating.
Visitation was held at the funeral home on September 11th from 10am until the hour of service at 12pm.
Mr. Henderson was born October 16, 1941 in Springfield to the late William Roy and Jewel Rawls Henderson. He worked more than 50 years as a truck driver and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Mr. Henderson was an avid Vanderbilt football and basketball fan, loved farming, and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Fairview.
In addition to his parents Mr. Henderson is preceded in death by wife, Mary Henderson and 7 of his siblings.
Mr. Henderson is survived by his current wife, Dianne Putman Henderson; sons, Tim (Lauran) Henderson, Kevin Henderson and John (Angela) Henderson; daughter, Beth (Tim Smith) Walker;

Obituary for Beatrice Toothman
Visitation was held Saturday, September 4, 2021 from 1-2pm in the Goodlettsville Church of Christ with Brother Charles Baugh officiating. Funeral services followed at the church at 2pm.
Burial will be held Monday, September 13, 2021 at 11am in the Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemeetery.
Mrs. Toothman was born November 3, 1931 in Robertson County, TN to the late George Edward and Clara Swallows Ellis. She graduated from Cedar Hill High School in June of 1949 and married Jess Toothman June 24th that same year. Mrs. Toothman chose early on to be a housewife and stay at home mother to their children, Jeff and Tina Louise. She was a long-time member of the Goodlettsville Church of Christ where she was known as a greeter to visitors. She was truly a “help-meet” for her husband during his 40 years of preaching, 11 years as an elder, and running the WBS of the Goodlettsville Church. She never worked outside the home except
In addition to her parents Mrs. Toothman is preceded in death by her only sibling, Helen Bryant. She is survived by her husband of 72 years, Jesse Toothman; son, George “Jeff” Toothman of Goodlettsville; daughter, Tina Louise Sipes of Mt. Mr. Haines was born February 10, 1930 in Myatt, MO to the late John Henry Jackson and Lamon Swindell Haines. He was retired from Ford Glass Company, was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and was a former member of Bordeaux Baptist Church.

Obituary for Karen Lynn Wilson
Karen is survived by brother, Beckham (Terrie) Wilson; two nieces, Abigail and Alexandra; two aunts, Eunice Thomas and Ramona Thornton; several cousins and many friends. She was preceded in death by parents, Merwyn and Hazel Gossage Wilson and sister, Kathie Wilson. Karen was passionate about her faith in the Lord and had a desire to help others. She was an active member of Madison First Baptist Church, where she faithfully served in the Elevate Café ministry, the Apartment Outreach ministry, Parents Night Out and Vacation Bible School. In addition, she worked with community organizations such as Project Connect Nashville; Celebrate Recovery at the Madison Campus Seventh Day Adventist Church, where she also led in organizing an angel tree project for children of prisoners; The Building Healthy Families Program of Lutheran Social Services; Metro Development and Housing Agency Cheatham Place; and, St. Paul’s Second Harvest Food Bank and Grief Share.
Celebration of Life Service was held Saturday, September 11, 2021, at 2:00 pm, at Madison First Baptist Church, Madison, TN. In Lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to one of the above mentioned faith organizations.

Obituary for Carl Kelly, Sr.
A graveside service was held Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at 9am in the Middle TN Veteran’s Cemetery in Pegram. There was no visitation prior to the graveside service.
Mr. Kelly was born December 22, 1946 in Erie, PA to the late LaVergne F. and Williama Moodie Kelly. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines and retired after serving 22 years as a mechanic, a career he loved. He loved his family, reading, and M&M’s.
In addition to his parents Mr. Kelly is preceded in death by his son, Brian Kelly, his grand-daughter, Haven Ray, and his brother, John Earl Kelly. Graveside services were conducted on Friday, September 3rd at 10:00AM in Sunset Hills Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon, Illinois with Rev. Mark Maynard officiating. The family received friends at Irwin Chapel Funeral Home, 3960 Maryville Rd, Granite City, Illinois 62040 on Thursday from 4-8PM. There was no visitation at the funeral home prior to the graveside service on Friday.
Mrs. Boyd was born on May 4, 1930 in Gallatin, Tennessee to the late Dalton McCulley and Stella Slicer Dean. She was a homemaker. She loved to shop and tend to her flowers. Mary loved her family and grandchildren dearly and was a member of Calvary Life Assembly of God in Granite City, Illinois.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Dale Boyd; son, Jim Dean; sister, Louise Holtzclaw; brother, Allen Dean; step-father, Monroe Dean.
